Megan wrote a blog about her most difficult weekend she had and asked if others could top her weekend. Unfortunantly I truely thing I could top it. This week I reflect back to one of the most awful weekends I ever had. Meg's birthday is on the 17th and she was supposed to go with her Dad on the 20th for her birthday. (this was in 1993) but he called and said he was sick. So this was cancelled. And then later that evening I got a phone call from the phone operator she wanted to know if i would take an emergency call from a bishop. My number was unlisted so the operator could not give out the number. So I was connected with this bishop who told me that Curtis the kids Dad had just passed away. I was in shock. I called a dear friend of mine and asked her how in the world am I going to break this news to my kids they had already lost some connection to their Dad due to divorce and now this. She said she would come over if I wanted her to but I said I should tell them alone. So I sat three children down one 11, one 9 and one nearly 7. I told them what had happened. The two older ones cried uncontrolably and the youngest one didn't know what was going on. That would have to be one of the worst weekends of my life.

Oh no stitches
Yesterday Rachel was opening a spaghetios can and cut her hand open between the thumb and the finger. It was pretty bad so we took her to the instacare and they put 5 stitches in it.She was so scared and crying and shaking. Poor little sweetie. After it was all done and we were home she asked do I have to do my homework? Of course not I said I think your teacher will understand. The doctor and the nurse at that center were so good at treating her and so empathetic. I was surprised. Well she is on her way to recovery and will get the stitches out on the 15th.
