A Couple of Great Boys
I wanted to share this picture of me and my older boys Nathan (aka: Carl) and Corbin. This picture is heart warming cause it reminds me of the times when they were little and didn't mind holding Mommies hand in public. Not that my other children aren't great I just ran accross this pictur last night and it touched my heart. You see Nathan the one getting married has gauged ears funny thing is I didn't even know what that was called until he got them. Anyway this same man as a child got upset when he thought his Mom was only going to wear a sports bra to Disneyland. I was getting ready to go and it was hot so I hadn't put my shirt on yet mind you he was only seven at the time, Well he said to me "Mom is that all your wearing" mister gauged ears himself. He certainly wanted me to know I must wear appropriate attire to go anyplace with him. I can't say that I've always bee a good example to my children I could have done much better. Despite the things I did in the past they have turned out great. Maybe all you do need is love. And maybe the hokey pokey is what it is all about.

I have a new place
I moved last weekend I now reside in a little 2 bedroom apartment it seems odd to live in an apartment after so many years of living in homes. If there were no children living there it would be the perfect size but with 3 children there to it is a little small. But cozy. It turns out that it is pretty quiet there so far. i hope to have all my bags unpacked by this weekend. So I can get on with life as usual, whatever that is.

So, what would a get real blog be without a comment on the day we vote.
Did you vote today. Did you voice your opions. When we think we are so small it won't count you are wrong and if you don't take the time to vote do you really have a right to complain about all the things you think are wrong in this country. We truely are responsible for each other if we don't take care of our brothers and sisters then who will where will they go.

Still trying to get the hang of this. As many other working stiffs I am here on a Saturday after Halloween holiday just as well be I was up early in the morning with a gut ache from eating so much candy. The saying is Trick or Treat candy rots kids teeth it is a parents duty to eat it. Ya that and left over Christmas candy Santa couldn't fit in the stockings. I'm not much for Halloween but I do love seeing my kids and Grand kids in their costumes. So on the real side it was my older brothers funeral this Thursday, and whats really sad is, it was a sudden death so it's hard to resolve things in the past. Its funny though, how sometimes we find comfort in the most unusual situations and how things we thought we could never get over don't matter as much. And sometimes ease our hearts. Giving oneself permission to be happy is something that I came away with from his death,he was only 56. So I refuse to put off happiness anymore I will choose to be happy instead of waiting for it to find me. Don't worry I won't turn wild and crazy like those young actresses I won't mention names, but hey if they are happy who are we to judge. So I guess if we can take away something good from something bad then we win.
